Pastiche – a work of art formed from disparate sources. PSGMC’s general meeting on Wednesday, August 7th, from 9:30 am – 12:00 pm, at the Parsippany-Troy Hills Public Library, will include three presentations: an overview of the updated PSGMC course curriculum, an introduction to Massive Open Online Courses, and information on the New Jersey HomeKeeper program. Dale Favia, president of PSGMC, will provide a preview of the courses PSGMC will offer to help job seekers during transition. Peggy Woosnam will follow up last week’s presentation about the foreclosure process with information about a federally funded program designed to help homeowners at risk of losing their homes due to unemployment or underemployment. Massive Open Online Courses – MOOC’s – provide a range of college-level, non-credit classes at no cost to students who want to expand their knowledge for personal or professional growth. Peggy will explain how to get started. These mini-presentations will be followed by committee reports, work sessions and an opportunity to network with one another.
