Ron Owens
will present “Laughing Really Matters” on Wednesday, July 17th, from
9:30 am – 12:00 pm, at the Parsippany-Troy Hills Public Library.
Ron Owens Learn about the benefits of
maintaining a healthy sense of humor and how laughter is the best medicine! Ron
will present clinical documentation on the benefits of laughter, in addition to
ways humor has aided people in extremely stressful situations. He will
share suggestions on humor resources and ways of tapping into your funny bone!
Ron has had varied careers as
a musician, a teacher, a spiritual counselor, a magician, and a bereavement
counselor. He was a music educator for 25 years before becoming an
internationally-certified Special Event Professional. He co-founded The
International Special Events Society (ISES). Ron was a Volunteer Coordinator
for Hospice of New Jersey and later the Bereavement Counselor for Holy Name
Hospice and Medical Center in Teaneck. He is a member of the National Humor
Project and presents his therapeutic humor programs nationally to corporations,
professional groups and organizations.
